Scottish Social Services Workforce Data
Publication of the 2017-2018 SVQ report
21 Mar 2019
We are pleased to announce the publication of the latest annual report on Scottish Vocational Qualifications provision in Scotland, produced regularly for the purposes of workforce planning.
This new report provides SVQ provision data separately for social services and healthcare (primarily Adult services) and Children and Young People frameworks as well as the proportion of SVQ activity made up by Modern Apprenticeships (MAs) in Scotland.
The report looks at the probable increase in future demand of SVQ provision due to the expansion of the day care for children workforce and compulsory registration for support workers (of whom there are approximately 60,000) in care at home and housing support services in September 2020.
The report can be downloaded here.
The data tables and charts in this report are available in Microsoft Excel (.xls x) and OpenDocument Spreadsheet (.ods) format. Additionally, the tables are available in non-proprietary Comma Separated Values (CSV) format, separately and together in a compressed ZIP file. The provision of the data in these formats is intended to facilitate its analysis and re-use.
