The Key Register Statistics report is prepared at the beginning of each month and contains a snapshot of registrations, applications, qualification status and fitness to practise cases. These are available from February 2025 onwards.  

This includes the following data:

Registration:

          - number of individuals on the register and how this has changed over time

          - the percentage of individuals who hold the relevant qualifications

          - how many applications for registration we have received

          - how long it takes to process an application

Fitness to Practise:

          - registrant case figures and register part breakdown

          - the percentage of registrants with an active fitness to practise referrals over time

          - the time it takes to close Fitness to Practise cases

          - the number of cases we have opened and closed each month

          - the number of referrals from members of the public

          - the number of fitness to practise hearings held each month

          - whether a worker was represented in their Fitness to Practise case and who their representative was

          - the outcomes of Fitness to Practise cases
