Announcement of the publication date for the Mental Health Officers (Scotland) Report 2022
We are able to announce today that the annual Mental Health Officers National Statistics report will be published on the SSSC’s workforce data website on Tuesday 15th August at 9:30am. This will contain data on Mental Health Officers (MHOs) working in local authorities from December 2022. Last year’s report (with data from December 2021) can be found here:

We are pleased to announce that the detailed workforce information for 2021 was published on Wednesday 21st December 2022.
Publication of the Adults' services time series 2011 to 2021
We are pleased to announce the publication of the Adults' services time series 2011 to 2021.
These tables look at a time series from 2011 to 2021 of the adults' services workforce and show the change over time of the composition of adults’ services.
These tables also include an overview of the headcount, numbers of services, median number of staff and employer type for all adults’ services’ sub-sectors.
Publication of the Staff vacancies in care services 2021 report
The Care Inspectorate and the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) have published new figures on the levels of staff vacancies in Scotland’s social care services.
As with the previous reports, this report provides a national overview of vacancies and recruitment difficulties reported by care services to the Care Inspectorate, the body which registers and inspects all social care services.
