Publication of Whole Time Equivalent data for the Scottish Social Service Workforce 2015
We are pleased to announce the publication of a report on the Whole Time Equivalent data for the Scottish Social Service Workforce 2015. This report builds on the Experimental Statistics report published by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) on whole time equivalents (WTEs) in March 2016 (available here).
Publication of MHO time series data
We are pleased to announce that MHO workforce data tables and charts have been published for the full period for which the SSSC holds this data (available here):
- MHO numbers, full contracted Whole Time Equivalent (WTE) and WTE per 100k population: 2005 – 2015
- MHO trainees: 2008/09 – 2015/16
- MHO leavers: 2009 – 2015
- All other MHO data: 2008 – 2015
Workforce Intelligence Events
The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is organising a series of half day events to look in more detail at workforce data on children's services and adults' services. We are being increasingly asked for more detailed workforce data on different parts of the sector (e.g. day care services for children, looked after children's services and adult residential care) and in view of this we have arranged these events to look at the more detailed data we have available. A key part of the events is also to engage with people who use or want to use this workforce data and hear from them about what is useful, what isn't and what more we could do.
Publication of 2015 LA post type data
We are pleased to announce that the breakdown of LA post types for 2015 was published on Friday 2nd September (available here). The spreadsheets present headcount and WTE (whole time equivalent) data of all filled posts in local authority social work services where those employed do not work in a registered care service. This therefore covers staff working primarily in field social work services.
