Sector Skills Agreement for the Scottish social services sector
In 2007-2008 each Sector Skills Council was required to undertake a Sector Skills Agreement (SSA). The Scottish Social Services Council, as part of Skills for Care and Development, produced one for the Scottish social services sector. The SSA consisted of 5 stages. Stages 1, 2, 3 and 5 ended in a written report. These reports are presented below along with a summary document.

Local authority post types 2008-2014
These spreadsheets present headcount and WTE (whole time equivalent) data of all filled posts in local authority social work services where those employed do not work in a registered care service. This therefore covers staff working primarily in field social work services.
SVQs in the Scottish Social Service Sector - report for 2012, 2013 and 2014
Revised Publication
The SSSC has revised and republished the SVQs in the Scottish Social Service Sector report for 2012, 2013 and 2014. It was withdrawn in January 2016 following the identification of a data quality issue at the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) which affected the SVQ data for 2014.
